Not sure what to pray for, here’s some suggestions

Pray for a cultural reformation to take place in America—for people to repent of their sins and be baptized in the Name of Jesus Christ, so their sins will be forgiven, and they will receive God’s gift of the Holy Spirit (Acts 2:38).

 

Pray for believers to rejoice in the confident hope we have in Jesus, have patience in trouble, and keep on praying (Rom. 12:12).

 

Pray for people and nations to bless the Jewish people, God’s chosen people, and as they do, they will be blessed (Gen. 12:1-3).

 

Pray for those who fear the Lord to know and trust that God is encamping Himself around them—that He will deliver them, and by taking refuge in Him, they will be blessed (Ps. 34:7-9, NIV).

 

Pray for the Church to have urgency, courage and wisdom in navigating the world’s current events and for them to be on their guard. Their courage will allow them to stand firm in the faith (1 Cor. 16:13)!

Pray for those who fear the Lord to know and trust that God is encamping Himself around them—that He will deliver them, and by taking refuge in Him, they will be blessed (Ps. 34:7-9, NIV).

 

Pray that believers will be perfectly united in mind, thought and purpose; that they will be filled with the Holy Spirit, abound in hope and boldly preach the Word of God (1 Cor. 1:10; Rom. 15:13; Acts 4:31).

 

Pray for pastors to be freed from all their fears—that they will seek the Lord for help and they will be radiant with joy, free of shame (Ps. 34:4-5).

 

Pray for strength and unity in families—that they will live together as one (Ps. 133:1).

 

Pray for a boldness of faith to be upon all believers. As they step out in obedience to the Lord, their actions and words will be a shining testament to the magnificent power of Jesus Christ (Prov. 8:21; Heb. 13:6; Acts 4:13).

 

Pray for nations to humble themselves, pray and seek God’s face, and turn from their wicked ways—so they can be forgiven and God can heal their people and their land (2 Chron. 7:14). Likewise, may individuals no longer esteem their own ways and thinking; may they humble themselves rather than be humbled (Luke 14:11).

 

Pray for Christians to acknowledge God in all their ways, so He will direct their paths, and that they will represent the Lord Jesus Christ in whatever they do or say and wherever they are (Prov. 3:6, NKJV; Col. 3:17, NLT).

 

Pray for those standing for truth to be strong and of good courage, and to not fear or be afraid, because the Lord God Almighty goes with them. He will never leave nor forsake them, and God within them is greater than the one who is in the world (Deut. 31:6; 1 John 4:4).

 

Pray for believers to rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, and remain in constant prayer (Rom. 12:12, ESV).

 

Pray for the Lord’s perfect timing, for Christians to be strong and take heart as they wait upon Him (Ps. 27:14).

 

Pray that as salvation draws nearer, more and more people will continue to awaken out of their sleep (Rom. 13:11).

 

Pray that believers will walk in love by loving one another. (Rom. 13:8).

 

Pray for God’s love to conquer the spirit of fear. God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love and a sound mind (2 Tim. 1:7)!

 

Pray for our youth to continue standing for Truth and for their light to be a shining example for all (Matt. 5:15). Pray for God to continue to reveal the truth about COVID, and that everything hidden will come to light (Mark 4:22).

 

Pray for a divine conviction to fall upon the Supreme Court justices and that the fear of the Lord will cause them to uphold justice for the unborn (Amos 5:24). Pray for the Supreme Court to overturn Roe and Casey (Ps. 139:13-16; Jer. 1:5).

 

Pray against the evil tactics being used to silence American citizens, that wicked motives are overthrown and the house of the righteous remain (Eph. 5:11; 1 Tim. 2:1-2; Prov. 12:7).

 

Pray for believers to use their faith, knowing that no matter how things look, God will use the circumstances for our good and His glory (Heb. 11:1; Rom. 8:28).

 

Pray for a move of God’s salvation to sweep through the house of America—spiritually and practically. Our government needs to experience a cleansing if America is to survive (Isa. 52:10; Dan. 2:21).

 

Pray for God’s people to become one heart and one mind, and for them to be unified just as Jesus, the Father and the Holy Spirit are unified (John 17:21, MSG). As we are united with one mind and one mouth, we will glorify God (Rom. 15:6-7, NKJV).

 

Pray for God’s justice and righteousness to roll down like waters (Amos 5:24) and for the wicked plans of the enemy to come undone and not succeed (Ps. 21:11).

 

Pray for God to uncover mysteries hidden in darkness and for Him to bring light to the deepest gloom in our nation (Job 12:22).

 

Pray for Americans and believers to not give up and to be renewed daily by the power of the Holy Spirit. By this daily, inward renewal, they will be strengthened to not lose heart and remain engaged—no matter how circumstances may look (2 Cor. 4:16).

 

Pray for the residents of California to not only have hope, but for their hope to be placed in the Lord. For when we place our hope in the Lord, He will renew our strength, and we will not grow weary or faint (Is. 40:31)!

 

Pray against the discouragement of the American people.  Satan desires us to fall into his trap of lies (John 8:44), but remember…we may be afflicted, perplexed, persecuted or even struck down, but we are not crushed, we are not driven to despair, we are not abandoned by God, and we are NOT destroyed (2 Cor. 4:7-9)!

 

Pray against a crushed spirit for believers and the American people. Pray for the good medicine of joy to fill their hearts, so they can be strengthened and celebrate the wins that have taken place and are progressively taking place more and more (Prov. 17:22).

 

Pray for believers to truly all come together as one. There’s strength in numbers, especially when we are united in the same mind and judgment. We are stronger together (1 Cor. 1:10)!

 

Pray for people to honor God by keeping the Sabbath holy, that they would learn to prioritize taking time off to rest just as the Lord did when He created the heavens, the earth and the sea (Ex. 20:8-11).

 

Pray for the countless people who are feeling hopeless and lost, especially at this time of the year. May they encounter Jesus—the Son of man who came to seek and save the lost—in a mighty way (Luke 19:10)!

 

Pray for the hearts of people to no longer be troubled and afraid, that they would be filled with a peace the world can never offer the peace that only comes from Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior (John 14:27)!

 

Pray for believers to be faithful in the season, assignment and good works to which the Lord has called them and prepared for them, so He can use them in whatever way He needs (Eph. 2:10).

 

Pray for people to continue to wake up and know the truth, so they can be made free in both their hearts and minds (John 8:32)! Pray for the righteous to be filled with the Holy Spirit and to boldly speak forth the Word of God (Acts 4:31).

 

Pray for people to recognize and understand that our health is in the hands of Almighty God. He is the One who will restore our health and heal our wounds (Jer. 30:17).

 

Pray for Christians to be more involved and engaged in God’s plan and for them to carry each other’s burdens. In doing so, they will fulfill the law of Christ (Gal. 6:2)!

 

Pray for the Church to realize that it is a holy thing to be zealous when it comes to justice, and that they would follow justice and justice alone (Deut. 16:20)!

 

Pray for all people to be encouraged and know that God is in their midst, and the Mighty One will save them (Zeph. 3:17).

 

Pray to lift up pastors and believers all over the world with the following prayers according to the Word of God: 

     They may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding

      (Col. 1:9, NKJV);

     That they may walk worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing Him, being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge

      of God (Col. 1:10, NKJV);

     That God will illuminate the eyes of their imagination, flooding them with light, until they experience the full revelation of

      the hope of His calling-that is, the wealth of God's glorious inheritances that He finds in us, His holy ones Eph. 1:18, TPT;

     That they will continually experience the immeasurable greatness of God's power made available to them through faith.

      Then their lives will be an advertisement of this immense power as it works through them (Eph. 1:19, )!

 

Pray for believers to not be afraid or discouraged, for the Lord will personally go ahead of them. He will be with them; he will neither fail them nor abandon them (Deut. 31:8).

 

Pray for believers to recognize that humans are fearfully and wonderfully made. He sees us before we are born, and every day of our lives has been recorded in His book (Ps. 139:14-16).

 

Pray for Christians to take heart—that no matter how things look—Christ has overcome the world (John 16:33)!

 

Pray that believers would stand strong against the enemy and remain firm in their faith, and for them to be persistent in their prayers for believers everywhere (1 Pet. 5:8; Eph. 6:18).

 

Pray for Americans to advocate to protect our borders—for it is God Himself who has determined our appointed times and the boundaries of our lands and territories (Acts 17:26, AMP).

 

Pray for believers to have a righteous anger—an anger of the spirit—toward everything that opposes God, but in their anger to not sin but to be moved to prayer and righteous action (Eph. 4:26; Ps. 4:4, ESV).

 

Pray that the Church and believers all over will not hide the Light of Jesus inside them, and they will let their light so shine before men who will see their good works and glorify our Father in heaven  (Matt. 5:14-16).
